The Beauty Of It All!

I've always envisioned taking in the fresh air with my children. I love nature and I want to teach Karina all about God's creation. The other day I was filling in her memory book and ran into to lines that read: Firsts - feet in sand________ hands in grass__________. Wow...I quickly realized that this is a whole new world for Karina. Everything fromt he biggest to the tiniest is new to her. She doesn't know what it feels like to have her foot in the sand. She doesn't knwo the color of grass is green, that the sun hides at night, that car have tires, that people walk on a sidewalk. This hit me like a ton of bricks and it makes me smile because God has chosen me and her daddy to show her what the world around her looks like. We will teach her to smell a rose, to run through the sprinklers, to hop on one leg, to laugh, to make a to-do, to ride a bike, but what's even more increible and powerful is that we've been given the gift of teaching her all about our Lord!!!! This is my biggest joy and I am really looking forward to it. I want her to knwo the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. I want the three of us to be reunited in Heaven on day! The Lord showed me that day how special and important my job is...we have way more influence on our kids than we can even begin to imagine. I want to my best at it..I will not perfect but I will rely on my God to give me the wisdom and the strength to do an good job! We took Karina for a walk the other day. The three of us walked to a local Chinese restaurant and it was awesome. She totally loves the fresh air! It's only the beginning of the amazing journey we've embarked on and the many things we'll teach her about life!
