May God Forgive Us

Blind Eyes Pictures, Images and Photos

A good friend sent me this email a year and 1/2 ago and it brought me to tears..something that doesn't happen often. I've read it over and over again. It's short but very deep. It truly touched me in a special way and made me realize that we can be so self-centered especially here in America. It's all about "me, me, me" such a destructive mentality when it comes to our faith. There is nothing like reading about the true love story of Christ dying on a cold cross for us. This is also a great example of sacrificial love and our tendency to truly love the way God and Jesus commanded us to love. I warn you...get some tissue...I pray this ministers to you as much as it did to me.

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She
hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always
there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see
the world, I will marry you.'

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The
sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected
that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life
led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her
saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before
they were yours, they were mine.'

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who
was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word -

Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food -

Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife -

Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life -

Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before whining about the distance you drive-

Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job -

Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around.

Rules From God

Rules Pictures, Images and Photos

1. Wake Up !! Decide to have a good day.
"Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" Psalms 118:24

2. Dress Up !! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart."
I Samuel 16:7

3. Hush Up!! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul." Proverbs 13:3

4. Stand Up!!... For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.. "Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..." Galatians 6:9-10

5. Look Up !!... To the Lord.
"I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me."
Philippians 4:13

6. Reach Up !!... For something higher. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path."
Proverbs 3:5-6

7. Lift Up !!... Your Prayers.
"Do not worry about anything;
Philippians 4:6

One Month!!!

As many of you already know...God answered our prayer, He remembered us and is now blessing us with out heart's desire: our beautiful baby<3 I know many people don't really like to see Nurse Practitioners but if you were to ever meet Dawn, you'll love her. I was kinda hoping she's be there but as long as we got to see our baby it was ok. We were thrilled to see that our little treasured had doubled it's size! It was so funny to hear my hubby say "wow babe your uterus us huge" lol. It had also doubled. The doc took some time exploring, making sure everything looked good. I wouldn't take my eyes off that monitor...I was and am so in love with our baby already, I could look at it all day long on there. Too bad we don't have one of those machines at home:( One of the most incredible feelings....was when we saw the baby's heart beating like a warrior's. It has a strong heart beat..I was God's warrior in my belly! I wanted to cry to see it's little heart! My hubby was so moved...he was able to catch it all on camera. It was a defining moment in our lives....God is real my friends...I can prove it in my womb!!!! Now this was the hard part...we weren't able to hear the baby's heartbeat like we thought we would. That was the main reason of this appt. You see, our doc is alot older and he hasn't been trained on the ultrasound machine enough to hear the heartbeat. We were so bummed...we were willing to wait for Dawn who would have gone out of her way to make it happen but we had to wait til our next appt instead:( At first we were a little upset BUT everything in our lives happens for a reason and immediately we felt a sense of peace in knowing that God is in control and that things haven't changed for us...this whole experience of trying to conceive has taught us about patience and trusting in the Lord....He knows best! We quickly realize that when "bad" things happen they can be blessings in disguise from our Lord! My hubby and I looked at each other and realized that now we have someone special to look forward to on out next doctor's visit Sept 8....hearing our baby's heartbeat. God has given us something to look forward to with great excitement!!!! Here is a picture of our treasure taken that day:

Lord-willing we will meet our beautiful baby April 4, 2010 (or sometime around this date). April 4th seems to be a special date....we are connected with special people in our lives....April 4th is also my cousin's birthday, my good friend Deana's birthday, my good friend Vic's daughter due date (his baby girl was born this past April 5th but the 4th was her due date) and 4 days before my little sister's wedding anniversary! My hubby says that we're gonna have an April fools baby, that it's going to be born on April 1. We'll see.....

To celebrate our first month, we went to Pismo Beach. I really wanted to take a mini trip with my hubby. It was so much fun, we had a picnic right on the beach, the weather was nice, we tried some of the best clam chowder ever from Splash Cafe! There's something amazing about laying on the beach, hearing the crashing waves while,e feeling the cool breeze! We plan on doing something special every time we turn a month. We also plan on finding out the sex of our baby on the day of our 5th wedding anniversary at a very special place! Most people think it's a girl, some a boy and some even twins since we have twins on both sides of the family! I have twins on my maternal and paternal side! Don't forget to vote on the side bar if you haven't:D We thank God for an amazing first month! Here are some pics of out trip to the beach:

And this ONE MONTH belly shot:

THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart for praying for the 3 of us! It means so much to us and God hears your prayers!

I was having alot of nausea (close to no vomiting) but the nausea has almost faded and I'm feeling really good! I continue to serve the Lord as it is my plan, I was asked to decorate for a 50't theme event for the women at our church and it was so much fun! I will post about it later:D I will also be assisting the speaker for a women's conference called "The Husband Project" at our church and was asked to decorate for a Christmas boutique...I love working for the brings me joy to know I'm obeying Him! But don't worry....I will still get plenty of rest!

Love, The Reyes<3

I Finally Got To Surprise Him!

Expecting a miracle Pictures, Images and Photos

As most of you know, we are expecting our first miracle baby Lord-willing in April! It still gives me chills and makes my heart smile to even type about it. God is simply amazing!!! One of my good friends shared this phrase with me and it really blessed my heart: "Every test has a Test-imony". It's so true, it's written all over God's Word...God provided for so many people in the Bible..over and over again. I myself really connected with Hannah whom the Lord remembered in HIS time!

Ok so several of you really wanted to know how I shared the news with my hubby. Those who know me, know that I'm always trying to make everything meaning..even the smallest detail. Since we tried for a while I had plenty of time to envision the moment when I would break the news to my husband. About 2 yrs ago I went on a myriad of websites that had pretty neat ideas such as...bake him a cake with a + sign on it, put baby food in his lunch bag, buy a bib and put in on the table for dinner, sing/play a song, write him a card and so forth. Even though these were neat....I wanted to be be unique because I knew it had to be very special. I went into prayer for a little while and not too long after the Lord told me exactly what He wanted me to do. I know that many people are skeptical about the way the Lord speaks but let me tell you....if you're willing to listen, the Holy Spirit will guide you...that small still voice is very powerful! I have many testimonies about this.

The Lord told me that when the time would come, take my husband's Bible, turn to Psalm 127:3 and write: "Papi, I will see you On (due date)! I LOVE YOU! I completely loved the idea, something only God could give me especially because I wanted my hubby to remember this day forever and it would now be recorded in his Bible.
Once I got home the day I found out we were expecting, I put my plan to work. I wrote in his Bible exactly what the Lord told me and sat it on the coffee table.

I kept looking at the clock and 5:30pm wasn't coming fast enough lol. When he got home, he wanted to drop something off at the neighbors. I knew I had to act quickly so I asked him if he could please read to me Psalm 127:3 out of his Bible. Being a little lost, he asked why? I said, "I wanted to hear it in your Bible" we have different translations. He seemed a little puzzled but went with the flow. He read the verse once and looked up. The camera rolling kinda lost him a little lol. I then asked him to continue reading....he read verse 4 lol. I couldn't believe that he wasn't seeing the dark black print lol. I, nervously told him to read "126" instead of 127 lol but he knew what I meant so he reads it again only this time...he noticed my message! At first he seriously thought I was messing with him since we joke alot with each other. He ought to know better...I would never joke about being pregnant lol. It took him a lil bit but then he came over, hugged me and we both were..only this time..tears of pure JOY!!!! Let me tell you, one of the best feelings ever!!! He told me he loved the way I surprised and thought the idea was so neat!

Our faith had grown because of this. One of the first things my husband told me was that now we needed to write a praise on the prayer request slip at church..a praise that God had answered our fervent prayer! We knew they'd rejoice after praying for so long! We thank God for taking us on the 3 yr journey because it makes all so much sweeter, much more special but most important, we learned very valuable lessons along the way. We now have a very special relationship with the Lord. It took us on a whole new level with Him...a very intimate one! I would like to minister to women who are in the shoes I wore for 3 long yrs. God already sent me a very special woman who opened up to me and who's heart yearns to be a mom. I also have one cousin and two very good friends whom I'm praying can also conceive.

Believe in the power of God's's alive! Believe in miracles they happen to ordinary people like you and I

This is a snap shot of the happy couple...full of gratitude, filled with amazement, bursting with joy!!!
