Where would you call home????

This is something I've never done in here...a survey! I thought it would be fun and maybe even helpful. You see...my husband got orders to go back to infantry. We've been in Fresno, California for the past 4 1/2 where he's been an Army Recruiter. We are currently waiting for all the paperwork to be done so we can proceed to the next step...choosing our next destination. We are guesstimating to be moving mid-to late summer..latest...early fall. Now this is what we have...we could either choose to move to a base here in the states (we were in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky) maybe in Georgia, North Carolina, Texas or Colorado OR we could choose to go to Germany or Italy!!!! I know:D At first we were like, "wow, we would be so far from home" but we feel that it would be a chance of a lifetime to go on this adventure, my fam says they would def. visit and we could see most of Europe! Maybe even learn a new language:D Oh and maybe even become pregnant and have a baby in Europe..how cute would that be? A little piece of heaven that would remind us of our adventure! If the Lord's will is that we stay in the states that would be awesome too...I am very close to my family and would love to see them as much as I can and build great memories! Either way I know the Lord has wonderful blessings in store and great plans for us! We are just waiting to see what's available or better said..to see what's God's will for us!!!

OK so just for fun...I would like to see what you would choose, maybe you can even give me some insight (ya might know someone who's been or have been yourself)...

So would it be........

STUTTGART, GERMANY

OR

VICENZA, ITALY

Curious to see what you choose and why.......
*** I also want to take the time to ask you to pray for us. The future seems like a big blur right now but we know that God is working and that He will reveal His will to us in due time. We want to make sure that we make the right decisions in God's eyes...because ultimately...we are here to serve HIM and go wherever He sends us to take our cross and be used by Him!!!

If I had to choose, I would probably say Italy, mainly because I think they have nicer weather. I don't get excited about the cold that much and Germany gets pretty cold. I have never been to either one so I can't go off a personal experience. However, I will say that I have never heard anything negative about Germany and most people like it.

Now that I've confused you, let's talk about the stateside options. North Carolina is beautiful and I would definitely choose that one. Georgia is alright. Texas is cool too. Haven't been to Colorado yet.

I'll pray that God will lead you to where He desires you to be. Keep us posted! :-)

How exciting, you'll have an adventure no matter where the Lord has you go. That's so neat, I think for me I'd choose Germany. We went there on vaction when I was 12 and I just lved it there. It was Easter and it snowed, it was just beautiful. Things close for the afternoon and the people just enjoy their lives. Praying for you guys,

Natalie

I wouldn't want Germany, because I don't like the cold. I think Italy would be really neat. Haven't been either place myself. I am more of a home body. I like being close to my parents. We are blessed that both mine & my husbands parents live within 10 minutes of our house. I would say this is an adventure of a life time for you. It won't be forever, so follow where God calls you.

Oh! Oh! I would go to Italy. How fun. However, I do agree with the whole "missing the family" thing. That would be tough!

The great thing about the deal is God knows exactly where He wants/needs you. Such great peace in knowing that.
blessings,
ashley

Hello! I'm a friend of Natalie & Veronica... I just came from V's blog. I'd have to say Germany! The people are sooo much nicer. Although Italy is a little warmer, it's very crouded. My husband & I went to both on our honeymoon over Christmas a few years ago and it was amazing. My husband is a Navy recruiter :) Plus you guys get MAC flights, it's only like $13 to fly to Ramstein Germany on them!!
Good luck!

Thank you so much for you kind words! We are very excited and can't wait to get out of this humidity! LOL!! My husband was actually out on a boat in the Persian Gulf for a year a couple of years ago! Of course this was before our baby was here.. I know that we will be just fine in California and there is some reason why we are meant to be there..(I just don't know what it is yet!) Maybe to test my stress levels driving cross country with a 65lb dog and a 10 months old baby!! LOL I have a brother in law that is in the Army in Baghdad now for his 2nd time. My other brother in law just got out of the Army after 6 years! I am so proud to be a military wife and any other person who is. I think that it takes a special kind of person to take on that responsibilty. I am praying for your family!

My husband and I were in the early stages of fertility when we found out that we were pregnant with our beautiful baby! After 3 years of trying I didn't ever think it would happen! I know that one day the same will happen for you and I will hold you and your husband in my prayers! Thanks again for you kind words! Hope you have a great week!!

I don't think I could choose. My ansestry is German, and I took 3 years of it in highschool. I have grandparents who were born in Austria. Italy is beautiful though. I think just culture wise, I would probably choose Italy. Hard call.

I will be praying for you both though. Just remember, that no matter where you go, if it's the Lord's will, you will be blessed...and if you step out if His will, wherever you are, no matter how beautiful, you will not have the full blessings you would if you were in the place that He would have you to be. I pray He will give you wisdom to make the right decisions and close doors that shouldn't be walked through!

Don't forget, that no matter where you go next, the first thing you should do, is find a good church that preaches the gospel, so you will continue to be spiritually fed.
